An Open Letter to All Tunisians

"We Are Ready"

Brothers, sisters, fellow citizens of our beloved homeland,

Never before has our country suffered such a profound state of despair, collapse, and hopelessness as it does today under a regime marked by populism, incompetence, and failure. Tunisia has become a country that has lost its smile, its optimism, and its trust in the future—a nation smarting under injustice that has crept into every aspect of life. We are witnessing political injustice targeting dissenting voices and free speech advocates—many of whom now languish in prisons and detention centers. At the same time, social injustice has brought wide segments of our population under the line of poverty and deprivation.

Our Enduring Commitment

My engagement in public affairs has always been grounded in the respect for the institutions and the rule of law, even when those laws were restrictive or tilted in favor of narrow interests. I have consistently rejected the politics of disunion, incitement, and resentment. My conviction—then and now—has been to unite Tunisians against division, stagnation, failure, and despair; and to work toward a society built on a sense of duty and dignity—where no Tunisian is left behind.

Beyond the Power Struggle

At a time when the struggle for power is raging between those who are clinging to authority with authoritarian zeal—advancing a destructive "replacement scheme" that swaps competence for mediocrity, responsibility for recklessness, and construction for destruction—and those who are vying for leadership while oblivious to the gravity of the moment, I have chosen to place my trust in the intelligence of the Tunisian people and their sovereign will. I turn to you with a vision that centers your concerns in every strategy, competition, and battle—one that seeks real solutions to real problems, and aims to lift our nation toward a better future.

The 'Wajibna' (Our Duty) Project

A comprehensive vision for rescue and reform

Our Response to Crisis

The "Wajibna" (Our Duty) project is, above all, a response to those who raise the specter of chaos and further collapse in a post-populist Tunisia. Let it be clear: in our country, there can be no collapse after collapse, no vacuum after the current void inflicted by incompetence and disorder. We are ready to assume responsibility from any position the Tunisian people entrust to us, and we are committed to initiating rescue and reform within a timeframe that reflects the urgency of the crisis and the long-overdue need for real, lasting change.

A Sovereign Tunisian Choice

"Our Duty" Project is a uniquely Tunisian choice—in vision, in planning, and in execution. It is a sovereign path towards rebuilding our nation with Tunisian minds and hands—without begging for sympathy, intervention, or support from any actor, regardless of their power or position. Instead, we will command respect and restore dignity to Tunisian intelligence and national competence.

Acknowledgment

With deep appreciation and gratitude, I salute all those who contributed to this project—through inception, critique, editing, and enrichment.

Political Renewal

"Our Duty" Project is also a contribution to the rationalization and renewal of political action in Tunisia. It breaks with the toxic logic of polarization, narcissistic feuds, and turf wars, and re-centers this action around projects, programs, and what serves the people.

A Call to Stand Together

The winds of change are coming

An Open and Evolving Project

"Our Duty" Project is an open book, available to all and ever evolving—adaptable to the transformations of the world and the needs of our homeland. Fellow citizens: the winds of rescue and reform are inevitably on their way. Their fragrant breeze will soon blow across our land... Stand with us, for Tunisia.

Divine Guidance

God Almighty said: "And Allah knows well those who spread corruption and those who bring reform."

May God Protect Tunisia
